Felicia and Matthieu celebrated their civil wedding in Courbevoie, surrounded only by their witnesses. They chose to extend the day at Bagatelle Park, a symbolic location in their history, providing a poetic and authentic backdrop for their wedding photos.

An emotional civil ceremony at Courbevoie Town Hall
Their day began with a civil ceremony at Courbevoie Town Hall in the Hauts-de-Seine department. The wedding hall, known for its charm and refined decor, provided the ideal setting for this intimate moment. With just a small group of guests, this civil wedding revealed the beauty of the essentials: knowing glances, shared laughter, genuine moments. As wedding photographers, we had the privilege of witnessing this simple and elegant union.
Felicia, the bride, wore a white suit that was both refined and casual, accompanied by a symbolic necklace lent to her by Matthieu's mother. It was an emotionally charged detail that added an intimate and personal dimension to her wedding outfit.
Bagatelle Park: a symbolic setting for their couple photos
After the ceremony, we had planned a couple's photo shoot at Bagatelle Park in Paris's 16th arrondissement. More than just a romantic setting, this park is an integral part of their history: a place where they often go for walks and where they have created many memories.
The flower-filled gardens, green paths, and elegant architecture provided the perfect setting for natural, timeless photos that reflect the couple themselves.

When storms change plans...
On the day of the civil wedding, the weather played spoilsport. As a storm approached, we suggested postponing the couple's photo shoot until the next day. This was a welcome decision for Matthieu, who is particularly afraid of storms. This setback turned into a real opportunity: the next day, under a clearer sky and soft light, Felicia and Matthieu strolled through the alleys of Bagatelle Park, relaxed and close. Every moment was an opportunity to capture their tenderness and joy in a symbolic place that tells their story.
Tips for dealing with rain on your big day
Even if rain catches you by surprise, it shouldn't spoil your memories. Here are a few tips for great photos:
Have a plan B: choosing a covered location or backup option will help you stay calm and avoid stress.
"Day after" session: postponing your couple photos until the next day or another day gives you a calmer, more relaxed moment and the opportunity to fully enjoy the session.
Useful accessories: Clear umbrellas or small blankets can add a poetic and practical touch to your photos.
Stay relaxed and enjoy the moment: Spontaneity and complicity are always your best allies for natural and moving images.

The story of Felicia and Matthieu reminds us that you don't need to organize a big reception to have an unforgettable day. An intimate civil wedding, a few close friends and family, a symbolic location, and lots of love are all you need to create unique memories.
